Biography
WAYNE BRODY is Vice President, Legal Affairs and Chief Compliance Officer, Arrow Electronics, Inc. Arrow Electronics, headquartered in Melville, NY, is a global provider of products, services and solutions to industrial and commercial users of electronic components and enterprise computing solutions, with 2008 sales of $16.8 billion. As VP-Legal Affairs, Mr. Brody advises Arrow's senior management and is responsible for, among other things, litigation; contractual relations with customers, suppliers and employees; and government relations. As Chief Compliance Officer, he overseas Arrow's various compliance programs and initiatives, and develops training in these areas for the organization. During 20 years at Arrow, he has held a number of positions, including Corporate Counsel, Assistant General Counsel and General Counsel, North American Operations. Before joining Arrow, he spent six years as a litigation and corporate associate at Hyman, Miner & Robbin in New York City. He holds a bachelor's degree in Asian and classical history from Syracuse University, a certificate of advanced Mandarin instruction from the Taipei Language Institute, and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
