Biography
Avemaria Thompson has been a Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney since 2003, currently assigned to the Narcotics Bureau. She was previously an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County. She received Bachelor of Science and Masters of Arts degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and her J.D. from Touro Law Center, where she was a member of the Touro Law Review. She currently serves as a member of the Executive Board of the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association, and was recently appointed to the Suffolk County Women in the Courts Committee by the District Administrative Judge of Suffolk County.
