Biography
John Holownia spent twenty years in the Suffolk County Attorney’s Office, the last eight as Chief of the Family Court Bureau. He was also a Suffolk County Assistant DA, where he served as chief of the District Court, Rackets and Narcotics Bureaus. He has lectured widely on elder abuse and neglect cases, Child Protective Services and Family Court practice. Earlier this year he was named one of Long Island’s “2012 Top Legal Eagles” in Family law by Long Island Pulse magazine. He received his B.A., cum laude, from SUNY Stony Brook, and his JD from St. John’s University School of Law.
