Allen M. Hecht is a Senior Counsel in the Real Estate/Environmental Department of the Office of General Counsel at National Grid in Hicksville, NY, one of the nation’s leading energy companies. He started his career in the Appeals Bureau of the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, then joined Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold in New York City, where he concentrated in civil litigation and appeals. He later served as a New York State Assistant Attorney General in the Bureau of Consumer Frauds and Protection and in the Legal Department of the pharmaceutical giant Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, before joining National Grid. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton and Fordham University School of Law. He has taught Legal Research and Writing at Hofstra University, and is a contributing author of the Hornbook of New York Torts (West Group).
