This advanced course exposes students to the more technical aspects of trust and estate administration. Specific areas of concentration include the jurisdiction of the Surrogate’s Court; fiduciary responsibility, with particular emphasis upon conflict of interest and self-dealing; proceedings for advice and direction; construction proceedings; representation of persons under a disability, including the concept of virtual representation; lost will proceedings; accounting proceedings; and litigation in the field of trust and estates. (Prerequisite: Trusts & Estates.)
