Comparative Individual Liberties: Gender, Race, & Speech** - LAW905

From a comparative law perspective, this seminar analyzes three distinct sets of issues: women and the law; affirmative action; and speech and censorship. Throughout readings on Indian and U.S. law, particular emphasis is placed on how cultural conditions shape a society's approach to similar struggles. (No prerequisite. Satisfies Perspective Requirement.)
