Contemporary Issues in Race, Gender, & the Law - LAW908

This course involves an in-depth study of discrimination on the basis of race or gender. Students read, analyze and engage in candid discussions of issues raised by feminists and race critics, such as Judith Baer, Richard Delgado, Lani Guinier, Regina Austin and others. Areas covered include critical race theory, gender theory, social construction, relational feminism and dominant feminism. (No prerequisite.)
