Trial Advocacy & Practice Society (TAPS)

The Trial Advocacy and Practice Society (TAPS), recognized as an Honor Society at the Law Center, represents the Touro Law Center trial team. Members engage in all aspects of the trial experience including preparing and delivering opening and closing statements, and handling objections, motions and examining witnesses. TAPS members represent the law school in national competitions against other law schools. The group exposes law students to the dynamics of a live courtroom and provides practical trial advocacy experience in national competition formats under the guidance of prominent trial attorneys on Long Island.
