| The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Criminal Justice at New York Institute of Technology, Central Islip may be reduced from 128 credits to 95 credits for students who enter Touro's Juris Doctor (J.D.) program. During the first two years of the J.D., 33 credits (in respect of courses in the area of criminal law, criminal justice, and constitutional law) may be transferred from the Law Center to New York Institute of Technology in satisfaction of the remaining requirements for award of the B.S. degree. The effect of combined B.S./J.D is to reduce by one full year the time (and, therefore, the cost and effort) required for completion of the bachelor's degree and the law degree separately.
