As befits a law school located in a vibrant suburban community, the Institute of Local and Suburban Law is dedicated to research, education, and training in village, town, and county law and government. The Institute offers seminars and courses in municipal law, environmental law, and the interrelationship of municipal law with state and federal law. The Institute also conducts research projects; sponsors an annual conference, which is published in the Touro Law Review, on recent decisions of the United States Supreme Court relating to local government; and places students in municipal law offices for training, experience, and academic credit.
