| To attain the Master of Laws degree, students must successfully complete twenty-seven (27) credits, including five credits of required courses. The LL.M. begins with two specially designed courses, Introduction to the U.S. Legal System and LL.M. Legal Methods Tutorial, to acquaint students with the common law and legal institutions of the United States.
Emphasizing fundamental knowledge and the development of sound writing and research skills, foreign-educated law graduates are encouraged to set their own pace and preferences, based on educational background and academic need. They may select survey courses or regular versions of core subjects and choose electives from virtually the entire upper-level J.D. curriculum.
