Courses: International Human Rights Law, Civil Liberties in an Age of
Terror, Law and the Holocaust, Jurisprudence of the Law of Religious
Conviction, and Selected Topics in Jewish Law. (4-6 credits.)
Excursions and activities: Students meet with officials in Israel's
government and Supreme Court, tour the Knesset (Israel's parliament), and visit
Yad Vashem (the Holocaust memorial museum). Moderately priced optional weekend
excursions in other parts of Israel will be made available to students at
additional cost.
Tuition and other fees: In 2008, costs were $5,200 for up to 6 credits,
including $300 non-refundable application fee. Program costs include double
occupancy housing at the Beit Maiersdorf Faculty Club on the Mount Scopus
campus of the Hebrew University, daily buffet breakfast, and program excursions
in Jerusalem.
Admission requirements: Completion of first year of full- or part-time
law study in good standing.
