Touro Law Center's Office of Institutional Advancement is proud to announce that Jack Grossman ’88 has been selected as the alum of the month for March 2014. His accomplished career is highlighted in the bio below.
On behalf of the entire law school community, we extend our congratulations to Jack!
Jack Grossman is the Managing Partner for Mallilo and Grossman in Flushing, New York. His firm’s main practice area is negligence but also includes real estate, matrimonial, estates, criminal law and civil litigation. Mallilo and Grossman’s current staff of 80 employees, including 25 attorneys, allows them to take on over 6,000 clients in three different locations, two in Brooklyn and one in Queens.
Mr. Grossman received a BS at Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. Upon completing his studies at Northeastern, Mr. Grossman attended Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center Touro Law School, in Huntington where he graduated in 1988 and was subsequently admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey. After graduating law school, he worked for Gary Darche for six months and then in 1989 joined the Law Offices of Anthony Mallilo and became a partner in 1994. At that time, the firm changed its name to Mallilo and Grossman.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Grossman has successfully tried numerous cases and negotiated settlements for his clients. He attends 20 - 30 mediations and arbitrations each month and handles numerous real estate closings and estate matters. As a Touro alum, Grossman has always looked forward to hiring fellow alumni to his firm. Mallilo and Grossman’s Managing Attorney is Frank Pomara a Touro graduate and their matrimonial department is managed by Touro graduate Jawan Finley. Their Brooklyn office is managed by an additional Touro graduate Beth Kirschner.
With the firm’s largely growing staff and client base, Grossman works hard to obtain the latest technology. Today the firm is completely paperless. This year, they will be on Spanish TV and are developing a big presence on the internet. Mr. Grossman hopes to be employing 100 people by the end of this year.
Mr. Grossman is a member of the Queens County Bar Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. In 2013, Jack Grossman was selected as a Super Lawyer, an honor attained by select Lawyers who receive a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Jack Grossman has been a tremendous supporter to the Touro Law Community. He recently created the Grossman Family Scholarship, which will be awarded to a rising 2L Touro Law student.
Jack’s greatest hobby is playing golf and he travels the country in order to play at the best golf courses in the United States. He is currently married and has two children, Stephen and Sydni.
