Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP
Jothy Narendran is a Partner in Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP’s Commercial Real Estate Group. She joined the firm in 1996 after graduating from Touro Law School in May 1996. After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree from the New York Institute of Technology in 1987, she became a controller at G&S Investors, a premier real estate development firm on Long Island. During her ten years with G&S Investors, Jothy obtained her Masters of Business Administration from Hofstra University followed by her Juris Doctor.
Jothy has been married to Roger for the past 22 years and although the past 20 years have been filled with educational and professional success, her passion and enthusiasm for life comes from two beautiful young women that she and Roger can proudly call their daughters. Lakshmi, who is 20, and Jayshree, who is 17, have shown their individual success and achievements in their own right.
For the past 10 years, Jothy has been involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island in various ways by showing support for the organization. She has attended and contributed to the art auctions, day at the races, and gala dinners. Additionally, Jothy has participated in the holiday gift delivery and has donated goods and services. She has also volunteered her time to the Play It Safe program that has educated youngsters on how to be safe in as well as outside of their homes. Jothy credits the organization for helping her and her children become aware of how much one can contribute even with the chaos of everyday life.
Jothy is also involved in Touro’s Alumni Council through which she has been able to assist those young adults who are currently in law school. She has attended Orientation Welcome Receptions and speaks to many students on the phone and in person interested in pursing a career in real estate law.
Jothy was honored by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island last fall, and she looks forward to her continued commitment to this wonderful organization.
