Touro Law Center's Office of Development, Alumni Relations and Communications is proud to announce that Adam Bialow ’92 has been selected as the alum of the month for February 2011. Mr. Bialow is a leader in his profession, was an active member of the Touro Law community while attending law school, and remains engaged with the law school as a member of the Alumni Council, attends a number of law school forums and participates in the Law Center’s Mentor Program for current students. His accomplished career is highlighted in the profile below. On behalf of the entire law school community, we extend our congratulations to Adam Bialow.
Adam Bialow is currently Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs for Shine International, which is the international sales and distribution division of Shine Group. The company distributes over 3,000 hours of high quality programming to over 150 countries worldwide. In this capacity, he oversees the division’s business and legal affairs team which is based in Los Angeles, California and London, England. He is responsible for handling the day to day business & legal affairs of the division relating to the acquisition, licensing and distribution of television formats and television programming in all forms of media worldwide including such programs as The Biggest Loser (NBC), Minute to Win It (NBC), MasterChef (Fox), Live To Dance (CBS) and One Born Every Minute (Lifetime).
Prior to joining Shine International in November 2009, Adam was Executive Vice President, International Business & Legal Affairs for Lionsgate, which is the leading independent film studio. In that capacity, he handled international business and legal affairs relating to distribution of motion pictures, movies-for-television and television programs and corporate transactions. Additionally, he was part of the M&A team for Lionsgate’s acquisition of the TV Guide Network. He joined Lionsgate in 2001 as a Senior Director.
He also previously held positions with Resort Live, Inc., an international television production and distribution company and Semaphore Entertainment Group, an international television production and distribution company that was responsible for the Ultimate Fighting Championshipâ worldwide. In addition, prior to joining Semaphore Entertainment Group, he was a full time legal consultant to many prominent production companies and corporations in both New York and Los Angeles. Representative clients have included: The Tony Awards (1993-1997), Court TV, NBC Cable Networks (CNBC & MSNBC), Hallmark Entertainment, Burnt-Danish Productions and The Essence Awards.
Adam is a graduate of Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center where he earned his Juris Doctorate and Hofstra University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts. He is admitted to the New York State Bar and is Registered In-House Counsel in the State of California.
