Huntington, N.Y. – The Touro College
Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center is holding its annual Barristers’
Ball on Saturday, February 26, from 7 p.m. to midnight at the
Long Island Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Uniondale,
N.Y. The event is sponsored by the Touro Law Student Bar
Association and is open to the whole Long Island legal
community.
“The dance will be a great opportunity
for local law firms and businesses to meet and network with the
next generation of Long Island attorneys,” said Spencer Horn,
president of the Touro Law Student Bar Association. Call (631)
421-2244 ext. 405 for further details.
There will be a live band. Hors
d’oeuvres and dinner will be served. Black-tie is optional.
Tickets are $75 per person. Companies can purchase tables of 12
for $1000 and will receive priority seating and podium
acknowledgement. Attendees wishing to reserve a room at the Long
Island Marriott should call (516) 794-3800 and mention Touro Law
School to access the negotiated group reduced rate.
One of just a handful of law schools
nationwide with a pro-bono service requirement for its
graduates, Touro Law School welcomed a record-setting entering
class this year. Selectivity and test scores for the 24-year-old
Huntington institution are at all-time high. Touro is currently
undertaking a bold, multi-million-dollar strategic plan that
includes a cutting-edge new curriculum and a move to a new home
in Central Islip by fall 2006, adjacent to and working with
state and federal courts. This modern “law campus” will be the
first of its kind anywhere and a national model.

School’s full- and part-time academic programs, call (631)
