Touro to
Host Public-Interest Law Seminar and Wine and Cheese Reception
Huntington, N.Y.
– Touro Law Center will host a discussion and its annual Wine
and Cheese Reception on Monday, March 7. Tickets are $25 and
available at the door, or by calling 631-421-2244, ext. 307. The
talk, "Political Activism Versus Litigation in Public Interest
Law," will take place in the Auditorium starting at 4:30 p.m.
Speakers include: Ed Hernandez, director of Brookhaven Coalition
for Peaceful Solutions; Harold Abramson, a professor of law at
Touro Law Center; Jack O'Connell, president of Health & Welfare
Council, and Joan Magoolaghan, a partner in the firm Koob &
Magoolaghan.
The Wine and Cheese Reception will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the
Faculty Conference Room.
The event is sponsored by the Public Interest Law Organization
of Touro (PILOT) and benefits the law school's Loan Forgiveness
Fund, which provides grants to graduates working for public
interest law organizations.
ABOUT TOURO:
