Touro Law Center Adds Senior Administration
Positions Tailored for the New Campus and Curriculum in
Central Islip
Central Islip,
N.Y. – Touro Law Center has added several new administrators as
the campus prepares for its new home in a state-of-the-art law
campus in Central Islip.
“We are excited to add these top-notch senior administrators to
further complement our already talented and hardworking team,”
said Dean Lawrence Raful. “The wealth of quality candidates who
sought these positions shows that they, too, are excited about
what’s going on here at Touro. We have an historic opportunity
to change the way the law is taught with our new campus, and
their enthusiasm and expertise very much help this physical and
academic transformation.”
Additions to senior administration include:
- Assistant Dean
for Student Services Lauren Chite, a graduate of
Fordham Law School who previously served as Director of
Student Affairs at Hofstra School of Law;
- Assistant Dean
for Career Services Brett Gilbert, a former Associate
Director of the Career Center at Brooklyn Law School who will
further nurture Touro’s ties to local law firms and legal
agencies as employers of Touro graduates;
- Assistant Dean
for Admissions George Justice, who formerly held a
similar position with the University of Tulsa School of Law
and will head Touro’s expanding recruitment of new students.
Moving to Central Islip this fall, Touro Law Center is
undertaking exciting, new construction and an academic plan that
will combine the teaching of law with its practice, and make the
campus an integral part of New York’s legal community.
