“Israel and the U.N.” Discussion at
Touro Law Center

The Jewish Programs Committee of Touro Law Center presents
“Israel and the U.N.: A Close Look at the Troubled Relationship”
on Thursday, November 16, with a reception at 5:30 p.m. and
talk: 6:00 p.m. in the Faculty Conference Room, Touro Law
Center, 300 Nassau Rd., Huntington, N.Y.
The event is free and open to the public. Food and refreshments
will be available.
Speaker is Prof. Anne Bayefsky, a distinguished international
human rights law scholar who is the director of the Law Center’s
Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust. The institute is a
resource for the study and analysis of the role of law and legal
institutions in the Holocaust and its aftermath. Prof. Bayefsky
is also associated with the Hudson Institute, an international
public policy “think tank,” and York University, Canada.
She is the recipient of Canada's preeminent human rights
research fellowship, the Bora Laskin National Fellowship in
Human Rights Research, is a member of the International Law
Association Committee on International Human Rights Law and
Practice, and has written or edited many leading legal reference
works in the field of international human rights.
