Ceremony at New Touro Law Center

Central Islip,
N.Y. –
A color
guard from the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #11, left,
led by US Navy vet James O’Donnell, does the honors at the first
flag raising at Touro Law Center’s new building in Central
Islip, NY, on Wednesday, January 17. The 180,000 square-foot,
state-of-the art facility, located adjacent to the Alfonse
D’Amato United States Courthouse and the Cohalan State Court
Complex at the intersection of Carleton Avenue and Southern
State Parkway, opened to students this past week. Also shown
are Touro Dean Lawrence Raful, center, and Touro Law students
John Cheng, a USMC Captain, and US Army Captain Adam Kama,
right, raising the flag. The flag is at half staff in
recognition of the recent passing of former President Gerald R.
Ford.
