Central Islip, N.Y. – It wasn't the
typical spring break experience for 31 Touro Law students. The
team, as part of the nationwide Student Hurricane Network,
fundraised and spent eight days in New Orleans legal agencies,
helping numerous victims find their way through red tape and
bureaucracy in the aftermath of
Hurricane Katrina.
The Touro Law students arrived back on
campus this week and will share their stories in a special
roundtable discussion at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, in the
Faculty Conference Room. The event takes place at the NEW Touro Law Center on 225 Eastview
Drive in Central Islip. Beverages will be served. For further
information, contact program advisor Thomas Maligno at
631-761-7033.
