Touro Law Center’s Office of Development, Alumni Relations and Communications is proud to announce that Patrick McGlashan has been selected as the December Alum of the Month.  Mr. McGlashan is an associate with the firm of Sullivan & Cromwell, LLP and  was an active member of the Touro Community while attending law school and has attended various alumni and student events throughout the years.  On behalf of the entire law school community, we extend our congratulations to Patrick McGlashan.

 

Patrick McGlashan is an associate in the general corporate practice group of
Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. He joined the law firm in September 2006 and practices in the Securities and Financial Institutions Groups from the firm’s corporate headquarters in New York City.  Founded in 1879, S&C is a global law firm with more than 700 lawyers on four continents whose hallmarks are the highest quality independent advice and intense dedication to solving client problems.

 

Patrick received his J.D. summa cum laude from Touro Law Center in 2006 and his B.S. from the State University of New York at Oneonta. While at Touro, he was active in the Black Law Students Association and The Journal of Race, Gender and Ethnicity. Patrick was a Dean’s fellow in all semesters, and he received the Academic Excellence award in Criminal Procedure in the Spring of 2004; Academic Excellence award in Introduction to Federal Tax in the Fall of 2004; Academic Excellence award in Remedies in the Fall of 2005; and was a Faculty Fellow from 2003-2006.  He also served as a Second Lieutenant of the New York Army National Guard from February 1990 through August 1996.

 

A member of the New York State Bar Association, Patrick has spoken to a number of current Touro students to help guide them through their careers and answer their questions. He has also returned to the law school to attend several student-alumni networking receptions.

 

Patrick lives with his wife, Alexandra, and two children, Stephan and Annalise in Queens, New York.
