Membership

Membership on the Touro International Law Review is limited to upper-level Touro law students who are selected on the basis of their performance in an annual competition. To be eligible to compete, a student must have completed at least 22 credits AND must meet at least one of the following three criteria:

1. be in the top 50% of his or her class;
2. received an A in an international law class; or
3. competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition or the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

Transfer and incoming LL.M. students who meet the criteria above are also eligible to compete; however, they must contact the Touro International Law Review immediately after their acceptance to Touro in order to be considered.

The competition consists of a short writing sample based on a specified issue of international law and an editing exercise designed to test Bluebooking and general editing skills.

The competition is held in mid-to-late July (after the Touro Summer Abroad programs), and students will be notified of the results by the beginning of the fall semester.
