This  program will focus on the current state of Marijuana Law. It will provide insight into the political, legal, and social concerns that are very real to people that come to different conclusions on one of the most controversial questions today: Should we legalize Marijuana? The program is worth two Professional Practice CLE credits.
 
Panelists, who represent different viewpoints and policy as well as legal aspects of the debate will include: David C. Holland, Esq., current Executive and Legal Director of Empire State NORML (the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) and Counsel to High Times Magazine;  Michael Francisco, Esq., the current Assistant Solicitor General for Colorado's Attorney General: Amol Sinha, the Director of the New York Civil Liberties Union Suffolk Chapter; and Kassandra Frederique, the New York policy manager at the Drug Policy Alliance. Distinguished Professor Richard Klein, a criminal law expert who has followed the impact of marijuana possession on criminal convictions and sentencing for years, will be moderating the discussion.
