Description
Grads preparing for the February 2015 NY Bar Exam are invited to attend Academic Development’s new Bar Exam Workshop, Monday-Thursday, January 5-8, 2015. The workshop offers 12 hours of comprehensive preparation for the NY essay and MBE components.

Over the course of four 3-hour sessions, NY Bar Exam experts will provide practical guidance about studying for the bar exam, focusing specifically on how to learn doctrine and convert it into properly crafted legal analysis on essays and how to use the doctrine to answer MBE questions.

The workshop will offer hands-on practical experience from a specially created “Model New York Bar Exam” based on actual essay NY questions, covering the most frequently tested topics and sub-topics. Through actual practice, participants will learn the scope, nature, and structure of the NY essays; see how the issues – procedural and substantive – are tested; and learn how to integrate NY/common law/federal rule distinctions into point-worthy answers.

Workshop sessions meet Monday-Thursday, January 5-8, 2015, 2-5 p.m. each day. All sessions, including materials, are free, but pre-registration is required, by email to Assistant Director of Bar Programs and Academic Development Cynara McQuillan, cmcquillan@tourolaw.edu.
