Description
This program will cover tax controversy from start to finish, including a breakdown of common IRS notices, the life cycle of a tax controversy, the intersection of tax law and other practice areas, how to avoid and resolve issues with the IRS, and how to receive assistance from the Taxpayer Advocate Service. This CLE officially marks the implementation of Touro’s recently funded Low Income Taxpayer Clinic.
 
Although CLE credit is available for attorneys, we encourage tax professionals, social service providers, and others working with low- to moderate-income taxpayers take part in this free event.
 
A complimentary breakfast will be served beginning at 8:30am, with programming starting at 9:00am. To attend, you must RSVP to events@tourolaw.edu.
