Legal education is different from any other educational enterprise. The skills that brought students success in undergraduate or graduate work may not produce the same results in law school. Legal education requires a greater time commitment, involves a different kind of learning, and demands a much more efficient study approach. Beginning with First Year Orientation and continuing throughout a student's career, the Office of Student Services works with students to identify their unique learning styles, and helps them adopt the study strategy best adapted to that style. For example, a student who is strongly auditory would be encouraged to make greater use of audiotapes; a student who is a visual learner would be introduced to techniques like flow charting and diagramming courses.
