| All law students experience stress to one degree or another. Some people overcome it and achieve their potential, while others let it get in the way of their success. The Office of Student Services works with students, both individually and in groups, on stress recognition, stress management, pre-exam anxiety, emotional control during exams, and post-exam blues. The Law Center also has a "counselor in residence," a psychotherapist who visits the school on a regular schedule and meets with students free of charge and on a strictly confidential basis for personal counseling.
The Law Center also supports an on campus representative of
the New York Lawyer Assistance Trust (NYLAT) who provides
confidential advice and assistance to students, faculty and
staff on issues of alcohol and substance abuse. For more
