In the event that your job search extends beyond the New York Metropolitan area, you might want to consider contacting the CSO so that reciprocity can be arranged with a law school in the locale in which you are seeking a job.

Most law schools allow reciprocity policy, from December through July, allowing a law student or graduate from another law school reasonable use of the services and resources of their Career Services Office.

Touro's CSO must make a written request on behalf of its students or alumni to gain access to another school's career services.

Because of the competitive job market in New York, reciprocity is not available between law schools in the Metropolitan area.

There are certain limitations as to what services will be made available to a "visiting" student/alumni. First, counseling and special mailings are not available, except by special arrangement. Secondly, visiting students/alumni cannot participate in another law school's on-campus interview program.

Despite the above limitations, reciprocity is a wonderful opportunity to gain access to actual job openings in an another city.
