In order to be eligible for graduation, a candidate for the Master of Laws (LL.M.) in U.S. Legal Studies must meet each of the following requirements within three (3) years from the first semester of class enrollment or readmission:
- Successful completion of a minimum of twenty-seven (27) credits*;
- A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.000;
- Passing grades in all required courses;
- Satisfactory completion of the Introduction to the United States Legal System;
- Satisfactory completion of the Legal Methods for LL.M. Students (LL.M. Tutorial);
- Satisfactory completion of the LL.M. Tutorial II (required for students with GPAs
below 2.300);
- Satisfactory completion of two (2) courses in basic American Law;
- Filing of a graduation application during the semester prior to the final semester;
- Approbation of the faculty; and
- Clearance by the Bursar's Office. Certifications to sit for bar examinations will not be processed if a student has any outstanding obligation to the Law Center.
*Unless a higher number is required by the LL.M. Academic Policy Subcommittee.
