Congratulations to Touro Law student Theonie Makidis whose article was published in the Federal Lawyer Magazine.
Theonie is a third year, full-time student who is graduating in December and taking the Bar Exam in February. She earned a B.A. from Stony Brook University and her Master’s Degree in Forensic Science from the University of New Haven. She has spent nearly the last decade as a teacher, currently working as an Adjunct Instructor of Criminal Justice at Suffolk County Community College.
She always dreamed of attending law school and enrolled in Touro Law to fulfill that dream. Juggling her busy schedule as a working wife and mom while attending classes has been difficult, but worth it. And, being on both sides of the classroom has brought her good perspective as both a teacher and a student.
“This journey has not been easy but has been worthwhile. I have learned so much and I look forward to a bright future,” stated Theonie.
