Alumni Spotlight: Anthony Petruzzi '21

Anthony Petruzzi graduated from Touro Law in 2021. He wrote a paper in Professor Salkin’s Land Use and Zoning Class for his Advanced Writing Requirement that was submitted and ultimately published in The Urban Lawyer. The article discusses the future of autonomous vehicles and the implications they will have for towns and cities as far as land use, zoning, and planning.

He states, “Autonomous vehicles and land use is a speculative area of the law, which provided me with motivation to delve deeper into the subject. I hope that my article can serve as a guide for planning and zoning authorities in certain areas when these vehicles do take over our roads.”

Anthony set his sights on law school before he even finished high school. He is currently studying for the bar and looking for employment in the land use legal field. He offers this advice to current and prospective students, “Follow your dreams and find an area of law that you are passionate about as early as you can! I only wish that I had found land use and zoning earlier in my law school years.”

Congratulations Anthony!
