Shikha Gupta Named New Gould Law Librarian

Central Islip, NY – Touro Law Center’s Gould Law Library welcomes new Reference Librarian & Library Webmaster Shikha Gupta. Shikha will assist patrons in the Reference Office, maintain the library's web pages and coordinate access to online databases. She will also be responsible for maintaining the Gould Law Library blog, Twitter and Facebook accounts.

“We are so pleased to have Shikha join our team,” said April Schwartz, Director of the Gould Law Library and Professor of Law. “She is going to be a great addition to the Touro Law family.”

Shikha earned her M.L.S. degree from Queens College Graduate School of Library and Information Studies in August 2009 and earned her law degree from New York Law School in 2005. She started working as an attorney at New York City Administration for Children's Services in late 2005 and then worked as a litigation attorney for Legal Services for the Elderly in Queens from September 2006 to August 2008. While pursuing a library science degree, she was a law clerk to Honorable Ute Wolff Lally from September 2008 to August 2009 in the Nassau County Supreme Court. Prior to joining the Gould Law Library, Shikha worked as a temporary part-time reference librarian at CUNY School of Law Library.
