Central Islip, NY – Danielle Schwager has been appointed staff attorney in the Family Law Clinic at Touro Law Center. This part time position involves supervising students who appear in Suffolk County Family Court and Supreme Court, allowing them to appear on the record.

Ms. Schwager, a 1998 graduate of Touro Law, has served as a Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney, as a lawyer in a private firm and currently runs her own law office. She focuses her practice on custody and visitation, support, abuse and neglect, termination of parental rights cases and the representation of children in family court as well as in supreme court on matrimonial cases. She also handles all the appellate work on behalf of the children she represents. She has always been an active member of the Touro Law alumni community, volunteering to help students through participation in Career Service and Admissions programs, the Alumni-Mentor program as well as judging numerous competitions. She is also a member of the Alumni Council.

“Danielle has always shown a strong commitment to Touro Law Center and our students,” said Professor Lewis Silverman, Director of the Family Law Clinic. “The depth of her experience in family law will benefit our students as they learn from her not only the law but also courtroom procedure and etiquette.
