“Bob Dylan and the Law,” a Two-Day Conference Sponsored by Touro Law & Fordham Law School
March 30, 2011Central Islip, NY – Touro Law Center and Fordham Law School are co-sponsoring a 2 day conference titled, “Bob Dylan and the Law” on April 4 and 5, 2011 at Lincoln Center. The conference will examine the legal issues discussed in Dylan’s songs and the influence his music has had on lawyers and society. Dylan’s music contains the most frequently cited song lyrics in legal journals and judicial opinions. This conference will include law professors, students, practicing attorneys and judges.
Papers presented at the conference will be published in the Fordham Urban Law Journal.
The conference was organized by Touro Law professor Samuel Levine and Fordham Professor Bruce Green. The first evening of the conference, moderated by Fordham Law graduate and DJ with WFUV Corny O’Connell,, is free and open to the public beginning at 6 pm at the McNally Amphitheater. The academic portion of the conference will take place on the second day and is not open to the public.
