<br/>Court in Session at Touro Law<br/>

The New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department will hold oral arguments at Touro Law Center on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 10:00 a.m.- Noon in the auditorium, the first time that a court of record will hold a session at the school.

 

Presiding at the session will be Associate Justice Peter B. Skelos. He will be joined by Associate Justices Leonard Austin, Sandra Sgroi and Hector LaSalle, all Long Islanders. The Appellate Division Second Department is the intermediate appellate court for Richmond, Kings, Queens, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, and Putnam counties, and is one of the busiest appellate tribunals in the nation.

 

The 20-case calendar includes criminal and civil appeals, the latter including real property, land use, personal injury, public employee arbitration and contract interpretation cases.

 

The session is open to the public, and all faculty, staff and students are welcome.
