New Paradigms in Law & Lawyering - LAW991

This course will introduce the student to a variety of the theory, practice and skills of what has come to be known as the Integrative Law Movement. Integrative Law strives to integrate the practices and methods of the traditional practice of law and system of justice with more humanistic, relational and less adversarial approaches that enhance the wellbeing of all of the stakeholders, including victims and offenders, clients and lawyers, judges and communities. The course will include an experiential component in which each student will observe and/or participate in integrative law processes. (No prerequisite.)
