Master of Laws (LLM) in US Legal Studies

This program is for students who hold a professional law degree from an educational institution outside of the United States. The educational institution must be accredited and the degree must satisfy the academic requirements for entry into the legal profession in the country where the institution is situated.
Students admitted to the Master of Laws (LLM) in U.S. Legal Studies for foreign law graduates generally begin law school in the fall semester, after an orientation that starts in early August. Since they are not assigned to specific divisions, students may attend either full-time or part-time and select courses from the day and evening schedules. Tuition is charged by the semester-hour.
Students must successfully complete the requirements for and be awarded an LLM degree within 24 months of matriculation. 24 out of the 27 credits required for the LLM degree must be physically completed at the campus of Touro Law Center in the United States.
Requirements for application include:
Authenticated law school transcripts

Qualifications for Admission to the Bar
In addition to a bar examination, there are character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to the bar in every U.S. jurisdiction.  Applicants are encouraged to determine the requirements for any jurisdiction in which they intend to seek admission by contacting the jurisdiction. Addresses for all relevant agencies are available through the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
New York State Board of Law Examiners Certification
Prior to beginning the program, all applicants interested in sitting for the bar exam are encouraged to obtain certification of their eligibility from the New York State Board of Law Examiners.
