Business Technology Law Externship

One of the most successful IBLT programs has been the Business Technology Law Externship course offered each semester. One of Touro Law’s many clinical opportunities, the Business Technology Law Externship places students in a 12-15 hour per week externship for academic credit at a law firm or in-house legal department, under the supervision of an attorney practicing corporate, business and/or intellectual property law. The students also attend a 3-hour weekly seminar with Professor Ezor, discussing topics of law (privacy, securities laws, e-discovery, intellectual property) and practice (ethics, client service, legal technology, mobile lawyering, use of social media by attorneys).

A growing number of students have completed the Business Technology Law Externship, graduated and been admitted to the bar, and are now working as attorneys, helping to supervise the next generation of Touro Law Business Technology Law externs.
