Institutes and Centers

Touro Law Center is home to several institutes and centers, including:
  • The Center for Innovation in Business, Law & Technology
Focuses on issues related to new and emerging technologies
  • The Jewish Law Institute
Provides a framework for the study of the Jewish Legal Experience
  • The Institute for Land Use and Sustainable Development Law
The Land Use and Sustainable Development Law Institute is dedicated to the research, education, and training in land use and sustainable development law. Land use and sustainability law literally shapes where we work and live – by providing a key means for addressing some of Long Island’s most pressing social concerns, including climate change and natural disaster resiliency; the creation of thriving urban centers and mainstreets; affordable housing; and the management of water resources, including storm water, waste water, and drinking water.
  • The International Justice Center for Postgraduate Development
Launched in July 2013, the Center will serve as a national clearinghouse for the incubator and legal residency movement among law schools, as well as host an international conference on post-graduate legal education, provide training sessions for students, professors, bar leaders and members of the judiciary on how to create programs designed to increase access to justice and offer consulting services to those interested in post-graduate legal education.
  • Aging and Longevity Law Institute
The Aging and Longevity Law Institute (ALLI) is designed to provide members of the bench and bar, law students, professionals from other disciplines and members of the community with the information, tools and resources required to address the legal needs of the approximately 100 million Americans that are 50 years of age and older.
