David Berg Fellowships

Students selected for David Berg Public Interest Fellowships fulfill their pro bono requirements through the Touro Public Advocacy Center and are:

  • Encouraged to take part in Public Advocacy Center (PAC) monthly organizational meetings where they would learn about a myriad of legal issues facing the poor and disadvantaged; 
  • Invited to special conferences and seminars on issues of social justice (often sponsored by the PAC members) and provided with unique opportunities for interactive with practitioners and academics;
  • Urged to join the award winning Public Interest Law of Touro (PILOT) student organization; 
  • Able to perform community service through the PAC, as well as help raise funds for next year’s Public Interest Auction.
