Alison Leigh Epilone

Touro Law Center's Office of Development, Alumni Relations and Communications is proud to announce that Alison Leigh Epilone ’08 has been selected as the alum of the month for July 2012. Ms. Epilone is a leader in her profession, is very committed to her volunteer work with Touro Law Students, was editor-in-chief of the Moot Court Board while in law school and remains engaged with the law center through her work with the Alumni Council, work with current Touro Law students in preparation for Moot Court Competitions and through the Law Center’s Mentor Program. Her accomplished career is highlighted in the bio below. On behalf of the entire law school community, we extend our congratulations to Alison Leigh Epilone.
Alison Leigh Epilone, Esq. is an associate with the firm of Courten & Villar, PLLC located in Hauppauge, New York and practices primarily in the fields of matrimonial and family law. Prior to joining the firm of Courten & Villar, PLLC she was associated with the firm of Stein Riso Mantel, LLP in New York City, practicing in the areas of matrimonial and family law. Ms. Epilone is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association and New York State Bar Association. While in law school, Ms. Epilone was a Semi-Finalist and the Best Brief recipient at the John S. Bainbridge Moot Court Competition. She also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Moot Court Board from 2007 through 2008. She continues her involvement and participation with the Moot Court Board by serving as a judge in the preliminary rounds of the annual Bainbridge Moot Court Competition and helps students prepare for both national and regional Moot Court Competitions. In 2008, Ms. Epilone received the American Law Institute – American Bar Association Scholarship and Leadership Award and the Exceptional Contributions to the Growth of the Law Center Award from Touro Law Center and in 2011 she received the Judge George C. Pratt Moot Court Alumni Association Award in Appellate Advocacy. Recently, Ms. Epilone received the 2012 Emerging Leader Award from Touro Law Center at the Alumni Winter Reception held on January 26, 2012. Ms. Epilone is an active member of the Law Center’s Alumni Council and continues to tutor current Touro Law Center students in preparation for the bar examination.
