Merik A. Aaron is a Judge of the Nassau County Family Court, currently assigned as an Acting Supreme Court Justice, sitting in Nassau County Court. Before his recent election to the bench, he served as Principal Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of Hempstead. He has also been general counsel to a computer software company and Village Attorney for the Village of Hewlett Harbor. He is the Past President of the Nassau Lawyers' Association and a current member of the Grievance Committee for Nassau County and the New York State Bar Association Committee on the NY Bar Examination. He has also been an adjunct professor at Nassau Community College for more than a decade. Before attending law school, he enjoyed a career as a science teacher and secondary school administrator. He received B.A. and M.A. degrees from Long Island University, a Doctorate in Education from Nova Southeastern University, and his J.D. from Touro Law Center.
