Digital Media & Advertising Law - LAW852

This course covers the rapidly evolving field of advertising law as applied to digital media. Students will explore recent trends in digital media advertising and marketing, new advertising and marketing laws and regulations, and changes and additions to current law and practices (e.g., the Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA) Guide, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, and current FTC cases). Benefits include familiarity with Federal Trade Commission regulations and guidelines and the ability to advise business clients on the legalities of modern advertising. (No prerequisite.)
