Touro Law Announces Five New Scholarships
June 2, 2016Adding to more than $1.5M in student scholarship support raised recently by Touro Law Center, the Law Center announced 5 new scholarship gifts, each for $25,000, totaling $125,000 in new scholarship money for current students.
“We are grateful for every donor who helps make a positive impact in the lives of our students,” said Dean Patricia Salkin. “Scholarship support is a main focus of our strategic fundraising. The new gifts will go a long way to help both prospective students access an affordable legal education and help to reduce the debt-load of existing students.”
The Chris J. Coschignano/Sahn Ward Coschignano, PLLC Scholarship, donated by Chris J. Coschignano ’90 and his firm Sahn Ward Coschignano, will be awarded to a second year student interested in practicing in the area of Land Use or Real Estate Law.
The Henry Schein, Inc. Scholarship, donated by the firm Henry Schein Inc., a leading national provider of health and dental products will be awarded to a second year student who has demonstrated interest in Health Law.
The Bedford Insurance Brokerage Scholarship, donated by Mario Capabianco, David Park and Bedford Insurance Brokerage, Inc., will be awarded to a second year student in high academic standing.
The Mark C. Zauderer Scholarship Endowment was donated by Mark C. Zauderer in the amount of $25,000. This scholarship will be awarded to the student who receives the highest grade in Civil Procedure each year.
The Evelyn Glickstein Klimpl Scholarship Endowment was donated by Dean Emeritus Howard Glickstein. This endowed scholarship will provide interest income to a rising 2L Touro Law student who is a member of Touro Law Review.
