Touro Law Center's Office of Development, Alumni Relations and Communications is proud to announce that Jennifer Lupo ’95 has been selected as the alum of the month for September 2012. Ms. Lupo is a leader in her profession, is very committed to her volunteer work with Touro Law Students, was on the Student Bar Association and Moot Court Board while in law school and remains engaged with the law center through her work with the Alumni Council. Her accomplished career is highlighted in the bio below. On behalf of the entire law school community, we extend our congratulations to Jennifer Lupo.
Jennifer Lupo is Senior Counsel at Key Brand Entertainment, Inc. (KBE) in New York City where her practice focuses on intellectual property, information technology, marketing, advertising, licensing, sponsorship, compliance and international law. KBE is the parent company of Broadway.com and Broadway Across America (BAA) which produces and presents live theater in over fifty markets throughout the United States, Canada, Japan and the United Kingdom including, New York’s Broadway. Prior to joining KBE, Jennifer was a principal in the law firm Lupo Law PLLC where her practice focused on business transactions for clients in the new media, information technology, software development, entertainment, fashion, and media.
Before starting her practice, Ms. Lupo was the Chief Legal Officer of eDiets.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:DIET), an early leader in the online diet and fitness space overseeing legal operations for four brands after its acquisition of DietSmart.com where she was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. She started her legal career as a civil litigator with the prominent Garden City, New York law firm Montfort, Healy, McGuire and Salley LLP where her practice focused on Commercial, Insurance/Reinsurance, Mass Tort, Public Benefit Corp., Public Utilities and General Tort law. She is currently on the Law Center’s volunteer Alumni Council, served on the Law Center’s Alumni Association Executive Board, a mentor with Good Sheppard Services, mentoring ‘tween and teenage girls living in foster care and a member of the Board of Advisors of the Mercy Center, a social service organization in the Bronx, New York. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and nine year old daughter.
In addition to her law degree, Ms. Lupo holds a Masters Degree in Political Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film from Bard College.
