September 22, 2009

Central Islip, NY – Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Marie Koch as the Director of Student Services and Scholarship Aid. Koch will work closely with student government and student organizations to ensure outstanding student programming, coordinate student programs with other offices and enhance communications between the law school and students. In addition, she will coordinate scholarship and summer grant programs.

"All of us at Touro Law Center are dedicated to ensuring a student-centered environment,” said Lauren Chite, Assistant Dean for Student Services. “The hiring of Marie Koch as the Director of Student Services and Scholarship Aid is further proof of our commitment to the quality of student life here at the law school and I’m sure she will make an immediate impact. I am so pleased to be able to welcome her to the Touro Law community."

Marie Koch earned her BA degree from Hofstra in Business Administration and is working on an MBA at Hofstra. She has worked for the past 11 years at a law school, first in the Office of Student Affairs and then in the External Relations Office, in the areas of development and communications. She is a member of the Board of Directors of The Clemenza Foundation.
