Part-Time JD Program
Touro Law Center’s four-year part-time Juris Doctor (JD) program is ideal for professionals and students who are serious about earning a law degree but require flexibility. Part-time students are an integral part of our close-knit law school community, benefiting from the exact same rigorous curriculum, resources, and institutional support as full-time students.
Designed to seamlessly balance with your weekday commitments, our traditional part-time day program offers a manageable pace without compromising the depth of your legal education. Students take a structured load of 11 credits per semester. The standard program spans 4 years, but students can accelerate their graduation by one semester by attending summer sessions. All part-time courses are taught by the same dedicated, distinguished faculty who teach our full-time programs.
At Touro Law, a flexible schedule never means sacrificing the complete law school experience. Part-time students are fully integrated into our vibrant community and are encouraged to collaborate with peers, connect with faculty, and build a powerful professional network. You are afforded full eligibility for hands-on legal clinics and externships to gain real-world practice representing clients, honor societies and law journals to enhance your credentials and legal writing skills, schoolwide competitions like mock trial or moot court events, and student organizations.
Touro Law is committed to making a world-class legal education accessible. Institutional scholarships and comprehensive financial aid packages are fully available to all qualifying part-time students, ensuring you have the financial backing to achieve your career goals.
