Touro's Office of Admissions administers a generous scholarship program: full and partial tuition awards are offered to entering students based on their prior academic records and potential for success in law school; in addition, fellowships and awards are available to continuing students and to those interested in pursuing specific areas of interest within the profession, based on their demonstrated academic achievement. All scholarships are renewable in accordance with the terms of the award. Furthermore, the Financial Aid Office provides need-based assistance in the form of institutional grants and through a range of federal, state, and private loan programs.

Application Procedure

The Law Center accepts the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required for all loans and other federal and state aid programs. The Title IV code for Touro Law Center is 010142. New students can obtain the FAFSA form through the Financial Aid Office; additionally, they can file applications online, through FAFSA Express.

FAFSA applications are available after January 1 for the coming school year. Students are strongly advised to file the FAFSA immediately, even before they receive an admission decision. Students applying for any type of federal financial aid must have a financial aid transcript from all previously attended colleges, universities, or professional schools forwarded to the Law Center's Financial Aid Office.

Applicants who wish to be considered for institutional funds must complete and submit parental information on the FAFSA to determine eligibility for the Federal Perkins, Federal Work-Study Program (FWSP), and Touro Grants. (The requirement for parental information is waived for students over 35.)
