Media Appearances Professor Klein had numerous citations this year as an renowned professor and an expert in Criminal Law Issues. Presentations Professor Graves delivered a presentation on Distance Legal Education to the New York State Bar Association Committee on Legal Education and Admission to the Bar on December 15 2015. He also moderated the opening panel and spoke on the final panel in the Global Sales Law Conference The CISG at 35 Challenges Today at Georgetown Law Center in Washington D.C. on January 30 2015. On June 11 2015 he served as a commentator in a global online conference on Technology in International Arbitration. On June 18 2015 he spoke on Contract Formation Unique Issues under the CISG as Default Governing Law at a conference in the Dominican Republic organized by the NYU Center for Transnational Litigation Arbitration and Commercial Law. Professional Activities As the Law Centers newly appointed Director of Digital Legal Education Professor Graves has begun to play a significant role in the national Working Group on Distance Learning in Legal Education. EILEEN KAUFMAN Professor of Law Director of Study Abroad Programs Presentations Professor Kaufman participated in a panel on Same Sex Marriage co-sponsored by Amicus and American Constitution Society at Touro Law Center. She also delivered a lecture titled Affirmative Action From Bakke to Fisher and Beyond at Touros annual Supreme Court Conference. Publications Professor Kaufman co-authored Testing Diversity and Merit A Reply to Dan Subotnik and Others 9 U. Mass. L. Rev.206 2014 co-authored with Andrea Anne Curio and Carol L. Chomsky. She also authored a report entitled Tibets Stateless Nationals II Tibetan Refugees in India 2014 Update for Tibet Justice Center. Professional Activities Professor Kaufman is the Co- Chair of Tibet Justice Center. co-editors Demeter Press 2013. She is the co-author along with Melissa Breger Jill Zuccardy and Judge L. Hand Elkins of the treatise New York Law of Domestic Violence 3rd ed. Thomson-Reuters 2013 and the 2014 update. Professor Post and Deseriee Kennedy supervised the editors of the Journal of Race Gender and Ethnicitys publication of a groundbreaking Voting Rights Act Symposium issue featuring 32 leading scholars on the Voting Rights Act which is co-published by the Berkeley Journal of African- American Law and Policy. Presentations Professor Kennedy served as a presenter on the Law School Curricular Offerings that Infuse Access to Justice Panel at the Fourth Annual Access to Justice Conference held at Fordham Law School in May 2015. Professional Activities Professor Kennedy is a member of the board of directors of the Nassau County Domestic Violence Agency The Safe Center Long Island and the Theodore Roosevelt Inn of Court. Professor Kennedy is working with Touro Law Stony Brook Medical students and recent alumna Keri Mahoney to form a Medical-Legal Partnership In March Professors Kennedy and Artusio along with Mahoney and several Touro students participated in a Health Fair for uninsured patients to help attendees understand and execute Health Care proxies.
